ASA 105 / ASA 106 / ASA 114, Advanced Sailing Course Combination

The goal of this course is to achieve ASA Advanced Coastal Cruising competence by skippering at night as well as during the day, in all weather conditions. This course is an intense, challenging, and rewarding experience.

Topics covered on this cruise include standing night watch, use of radar and chart plotters, weather analysis, handling emergency situations, night navigation and piloting, advanced anchoring techniques, reefing and heavy-weather sailing.

ASA 105, Coastal Navigation certification, is a prerequisite for ASA 106 and must be completed prior to arrival for the Advanced Coastal Cruising course.

We are offering the Coastal Navigation course through a partner ASA school that specializes in online navigation instruction. The course is delivered online and is self-paced.

If you do not already have an ASA 114, cruising catamaran certification, you will able to earn it during this week-long advanced cruising course.
