Go Baja Sailing offers advanced ASA Sailing courses! Now that you’ve completed your ASA certifications for Basic Keelboat, Basic Coastal Cruising and Bareboat Cruising, you are ready for Coastal Navigation (ASA105) and Advanced Coastal Cruising (ASA106) as well as the ASA Docking endorsement (ASA118) with Go Baja Sailing School.
Taking advantage of our unique location sailin in the beautiful but challenging waters of the Sea of Cortez, we do our advance training sailing from our base in La Paz, north to Ague Verde or perhaps even as far as Loreto.
The Coastal Navigation (ASA 105) course is very intense and requires much study as well as a few video conference classes before you arrive to La Paz. You will learn the the navigational theory and practices for safe navigation of a sailing vessel in coastal and inland waters.
The Advanced Coastal Cruising (ASA 106) course will add nighttime sailing & navigation as well as more advanced skills, theory and terminology.
Captain Kira is our lead instructor for advanced courses but several of Go Baja’s instructors are certified thru ASA 106.
The liveaboard part of the course includes a private cabin aboard one of our sailboats 35’ – 45’. All inclusive of text books, 3+ meals per day of provisions (groceries), non-alcoholic beverages, all safety equipment, Cressi snorkeling gear, SUP/Kayaks, Inflatable Dingy/Outboard motor, bedding, linens and towels, etc.
